Dear Devotees,

We are pleased to inform you that the first phase of the restoration (Jeernoddharana) at the Muppathadam Dakshina Kailasam Sri Chandrasekharapuram Shiva Temple—which includes the construction of the Sreekovil (Sanctum Sanctorum) and the Namaskara Mandapam—is nearing completion.

Work on the second phase, involving the Chuttambalam (outer structure), Valiyambalam, Thidappally (temple kitchen), Mulayara, and Balikkalpura, is currently in progress. The third phase, involving the Kodimaram (flagstaff), is currently at the oil-soaking stage (Ennathoni).

The Utharam Vaypu Ceremony

The Utharam Vaypu ceremony (the ritualistic placement of the main beam) for the second phase of construction is scheduled to be held on:

  • Date: Wednesday, February 11, 2026 (Makaram 28)
  • Time: Between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM (Auspicious Muhurtham)
  • Chief Priest: Brahmasree Kunnamparambathu Mana Parameswaran Namboothiri

An Appeal for Participation

Participating in the restoration of a Shiva temple is a rare blessing in a person's lifetime. It is a sacred deed believed to bring well-being and prosperity to seven generations. We humbly request all devotees to participate in these rituals and prayers for family prosperity, wealth, and healing.

Offerings & Contributions:

Devotees have the opportunity to sponsor specific parts of the Chuttambalam, Valiyambalam, and Mulayara as offerings (Vazhipadu).

While we express our sincere gratitude in the name of the Lord for the support provided so far, we earnestly request your continued cooperation to successfully complete this great sacrificial task (Yajnam).
